Saw the strangest thing this weekend while I was working on my girlfriends 67 Mustang. We filled the windshield washer fluid to see if we could get it working. After all we got the winshield wipers to work so now its time for fluid right? Well we looked everywhere inside for a button to push to get it to start squirting. After about 30 minutes of pushing buttons and pulling leverls, I decided to trace the line that came from the fill sack. Yeah I said fill sack. :lmao: Anyway after tracing the lines to the inside of the car I found a pump mechanism that has to be hit with your feet to make the fluid squirt onto the windshield. Im not even kidding. Im dead serious. Yes a foot pump in the location of the parking brake. We couldn't stop laughing then yes of course we persisted to pump the fluid with our feet to see if it would shoot over the car with a good kick. Yup it did. :rotfl:

Welcome to the world of Mustangs. :rotfl: At least it's one less electrical thing to fail, right? Unless it's an early '67, most had a hard plastic reservoir for the washer fluid. Just about every Ford product (that I can recall, anyway) up until '67 used a bag for the fluid.

It has the bag. Thats what I was referring to as the "fill sack" :lmao:
You are right though.I was happy to see one less electrical item. Even though to my surprise, more electrical items work on this car than my Camaro. :hammer:

Yeah it is kinda down by the dimmer switch. But closer to the dach. I honestly thought it was the parking brake until I hit it and juice squirted out. To answer your other question about the mustang progress, I just made a thread on her car. here (https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6189)

A buddy back in high school had a '67 RS ragtop with a manual wash lever for hand-pumping the washer fluid. I thought it was neat in its simplicity.

BTW, pushing on it should also cause the wipers to swipe... this is a nice feature because you can use it as "intermittent wipers" too.
