My high school auto shop classes have worked with me for years on ProjectX2.

I'm semi retired from teaching now. After teaching shop full time for 35 years I'm just working part time now. I still work with auto students on ProjectX (68 Nova drag car), ProjectX2 (68 Camaro street/autocross car), and ProjectX3 67 El Camino.

After completely redoing the front suspension with poly bushings and painting the upper and lower a arms my Auto Shop students found Savitske Classic & Custom on Pro-Touring. I called Marcus and he suggested SC&C Pro-Lite Lightweight Adjustable Tubular Upper Arms. When they arrived we did the G Mod and put everything back together. Then my students found Heidts Lower control arms, Eibach springs, Wilwood brakes, Stainless brake lines, and Billet tie rod adjusting sleeves. I bought Goodyear Blue Streak Racing tires and put them on rally wheels.
Then I found Minilites with Hoosier racing tires. The last and latest change was to remove the Edlebrock shocks and Eibach springs and install QA1 Adjustable coil-over Shocks.

The Minilite wheels were 15 x 8 front and back originally. They came with Hoosier racing tires. There was interference with the front rims and the tie rod ends and upper control arm. I located Eric Vaughn Machine (http://www.ericvaughnmachine.com/) and had him narrow the front minilites to 7 inches. Eric did a fantastic job on the wheels which now fit perfectly. BF Goodrich Radial T/A 235/60 15 front and 245/60 15 rear tires were put on for the street.

I picked up a billet grille at the Goodguys Pleasanton swap meet and cut up a new grille that I purchases from Steve's Camaros (http://www.stevescamaroparts.com/) . Everything went together easily and I had to come up with some Running/Turn signals. I found Amber LED strips and had to wire in a dual element curcuit I found at Chrome Glow (http://www.chromeglow.com/) so the running lights and turn signals would work.
You have to look carefully to see the LED's.

The engine is a 383. The students found a stroker kit from Powerhouse Engine Components (https://shop.enginekits.com/osb/specials.cfm). I took the 4 bolt block to Smeding Performance (http://www.smedingperformance.com/) for machining. I picked up a cam and other parts there and had the students help put the engine together using ARP bolts. We called Trick Flow and ordered a set of aluminum heads. A large order to Summit helped finish the engine.

Lee Power Steering (http://www.lee-powersteering.com/index.htm) rebuilt the steering box and power steering pump. The power steering reservoir was modified for AN fittings that go to the Hydratech (http://www.hydratechbraking.com/) Hydraulic Brake Assist Unit and master cylinder. Steering and braking on the street are fantastic. I'm looking forward to seeing how everything works on an Autocross Course.

whats kind of exhaust are you running? any pics of the car with blue streaks on rallies?

My students saw the billet gas cap and the billet taillights on Pro-Touring.
I called Amy at Fesler Built (http://shop.feslerbuilt.com/main.sc) and ordered the RS Billet taillights with anodized finish. They are awsome.
The billet gas cap became available from Air Ride Technologies (http://www.ridetech.com/index2.html) and was ordered. It fit perfectly.

The exhaust is a work in progress. It's a Spin Tech System (http://www.spintechmufflers.com/spintech/spintechindex.asp) right now but isn't working out as planned. The students and I wanted a Trans-Am look with the exhaust exiting just before the rear tire. With the the sub frame connectors installed the exhaust sits too low.

It was a bit tighter until I loaded the car on the trailer and was bent. We looked at notching the sub frame connector but have decided to
keep the Spin Tech 2 1/2 exhaust with X pipe and change mufflers for a quieter ride on the street and run the exhaust out the back using mandrel bent tail pipes from Flowmaster.

Interior has Corbeau Seats. The rear seat was reupholstered so it matches the front bucket pattern. The Momo steering wheel is attached to a Flaming River tilt column. An Autometer console gauge pod has Fuel Level, Volts, Water Temp, and Oil Pressure. The Gauge Cluster has Autometers 5 in. Tach and Speedometer with LED turn signal lights. The Roll Bar has been powder coated.

Drove to a friends birthday party/car show. Shake down cruise went well. Exhaust needs some work and a few other things turned up that need looking into. All in all a GREAT day.

I put the dash instrument cluster back in the Camaro today. I had it out to put the billet gauge bezels on the Auto Meter Speedometer and Tachometer. I got the bezels from Steve at Twist Machine (http://twistmachine.com/shopping/). He had some bezels w/o the holes made up for me. They fit perfectly with just a little modification where the tach contols meet the bezel.
