Hello. I am new to this site and pro touring. I used to be into just going fast in a straight line. Then in June, I went on the Power Tour with my friends 2000 Vett setup for road racing, and discovered autocrossing. Needless to say, I am hooked. When I finished racing, I spoke to the owner of Heidt's Hot Rod Shop. I asked Frank what Heidt's had for a my 75 TA. Frank said Heidt's had a subframe for the front and a rear 4-link. Frank also said they couldn't do Pontiac engines. No motor mounts. I told him I had a real nice 75 TA he could use for the test car. He agreed to install one, free of charge, in my TA. So now my TA is currently at Heidt's getting a G-machine suspension installed.
My car is a 1975 Pontiac Trans Am. The engine I won from Hot Rod Magazines "win Your Dream Engine Sweepstakes". It is a 400 block with a 4.250" stroke crank. It makes 562 hp and 587 lb-ft of torque. It currently runs 11.50@116 mph. With a little tuning and the lighter suspension, I should be in the 11.30's.
