WOOHOO!!! The stance is gonna be sweet on that bad boy!!! You gonna be able to match the front ride height with that Heidts clip and still get lock to lock?

Bro, you gotta run a four wheel discs now. Those wheels would so show off a nice big brake kit. CPP's got a zero offset kit that bolts right on to your car and is pretty reasonable although a set of Wilwood or Baer 6 pots front/4 pot rears with drilled and slotted rotors would be SWEEEEETTT!!! I got a set of the Wilwood 6pot/4 pot combo on my '03 'Stang and they're AWESOME!!!

john when talking about lock to lock, you talking about steering turning? going to be running a 17x7 up front. getting the coil overs for the front to get the ride height where i want it. i think there's going to be a little rubbing.

well got all the 4 link ready. the shop got the flange's in place. i took the 4 link bracket's to him the other day so he can slide them on before he tach the flange's on. so i got all my angle's of the dangle's right so i tach the brackets and i will take it back to him monday and let him finish welding everything and make sure the rear end stays straight.

Yeah! On our cars there isn't much room on the front for a very wide wheel unless you go with an aftermarket clip. Obviously you have a heidts front clip but when you lower the car rubbing becomes an issue real fast. With 17 x 7's you shouldn't have a problem with lock to lock without hitting the tie rods but, like I said, our cars weren't built to handle such wide tires up front.

[QUOTE=ACONLP;644475]had to do some frame repair
https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2010/03/IMG_2197-1.jpg

was there anything done to these tubs prior that you know of? just curious more than anything, but on the one were tearing into, the wheel well stops about 2 inches away from the frame rail.. now with the 3" wider tubs, we cut in about an inch of the frame rail. maybe the coupes are different from the sedans?

also, what backspacing did you go with for the front rim? or maybe john (novanutcase) we dont nessesairally want the widest possible... but something on a 7" wide like above that clears lock to lock.

dont mean to jack your thread... :guilty:

looking like its coming along nicely! were pickin out rims as we speak. 17x11's for the rear with a 3" backspace. yum! well proably have to modify the 4 link a bit.. but well get it to work

if your getting at, was the frame notched? no. the rear frame is in stock location. the front wheels are 17x7 with a 4.50 backspace. really cant tell you much about the tub job. didn't do it and have not really done any research on them. i had the rear end narrowed to 54 1/4 from outter axle flange to flange. the rear rims are 18x9.5 with a back space of 5 (i think) dont remember... thats sad huh... i had 10 inch wide rims before and they rubbed a little... didnt want to have any rubbing issue's

Yes, i will get some pictures later. The car had to go back to paint and be redone, total nightmare. Just been slowly putting it back together when i got a chance. My two year has my time these days. Fixing to start a different shift a work that is going to allow me a lot of time to myself around the house when everyone is gone. Where iam at on the car. The motor is on the stand and im going to a performance shop next week to order the cam and all the goodies to go with it for a real nasty sound. Ordered some parts online today, received the carpet today. So interior should slowly start going back in after i put the sound deading in. Just need to get out there and lay it in. Hopefully in the next few months i can have it running again and on the road
