Mark doesn't come here a lot. He's always very busy. Since you only have 1 post on this message board, people who do know Mark won't hand over personal information for people who have been members for years, let alone a person with no known history on this website. Your post doesn't include much detail of why you want to contact Mark. Maybe you'll get lucky and somebody will let Mark know somebody is asking about him.

If you want to ask him a question about a modification he made to one of his Camaros, it's probably common knowledge because somebody already asked and somebody here can answer without having Mark involved. Who knows, if the question is answered incorrectly, he may decide to chime in. We're all here to help, but giving out personal information is not something we do here.

It looks like you've added that you are looking for ZR1 info. That's a start. If you post your question in the forum, he may respond.

There are a few of us who could pass on a request to him, but we are not going to give out his contact.

Ask the question here first.

Yeah, that's not exactly enough info to pass on. How about you ask the question; as if you were talking to him, include YOUR contact info, and I'll pass it along.

Mike,
We hope you understand that those of us who know how to contact Mark are only protecting his privacy...as we would with any of our members.

Try posting at corvetteforum.com because the shear volume of people/knowledge there should at least get you pointed in the right direction, regardless of whether it's old ZR1 or new ZR1.

I am looking for advice on installing a LS9 motor into a 69 Camaro. I don't know of anyone else who has done this installation besides Mark. I'm kind of new to the game, obviously. Just looking for any problems I may run into with the pre-bent intercooler hoses or do you have your own hoses made up, oil cooler hoses - same question, what kind of header to use (chassisworks subframe) and a good spot to mount intercooler pump, etc.

I would send him a PM or post your questions on www.lateral-g.net (http://www.lateral-g.net) he seems to be more active over there.

Here is a link to his profile: http://www.lateral-g.net/forums/member.php4?u=109

Here is a link to the build thread of the car: http://www.lateral-g.net/forums/showthread.php4?t=17744&highlight=jackass

Good suggestion above, and if that doesn't work I am pretty sure Larry has a giant spotlight that will project a massive "S" into the night sky.

Those aren't questions for Mark, you need to mock it up and come up with your own conclusions.

Who are they questions for, somebody that never installed one?I would think the guy that did the install would be a pretty good resource for questions to save time.Their is always one in the crowd that has a comment instead of a solution, why waste your time.Just looking for suggestions, oh just mock it up,didnt think of that.Nice job man.

Just curious. What front clip are you planning to use? Like others have said, you can get alot of info on the build on Lateral-g, but unless you use the Morrison clip, I doubt alot of the info would help you. Mark has a way of making hard look simple, but he is an engineer at GM so he has a head start on the rest of us. I saw Jackass at CoBo hall in march and the engine was pretty much just sitting in the car. By June, I followed it around the track at Gingerman, so alot of work in a short time. I am not sure how much would change if you used, say a DSE front clip as far as headers, clearance, etc. Good luck though if you are going to build another 69 with a LS9, cool stuff indeed.
Start a thread here and let us know how it goes. Information is golden on these projects.

I'm just being honest with you. Clearly you're going to need to make the intercooler plumbing and oil cooler lines from scratch. The front end, radiator, cooling fans, battery location, heating and cooling, brake booster, etc will all effect where things go. If you intend to copy Jackass that's a different story.

What's the deal with people strolling onto a new forum and acting all big and cocky these days? Do you do that in real life, just walk into a shop and start demanding information and acting sarcastic and rude?

I happen to have done OODLES yes OODLES of research on Jackass and can give you the majority of the answers you're looking for, at least to a degree--but now I really don't want to because frankly, by 1) assuming that the other, oh 20,000 members of this forum are just here to supply you with someone's personal information instead of tech and advice and 2) making such a poor first impression laced with sarcasm and a generally cocky, too-good-for-us attitude, you've pretty well made me, and probably many other members, not want to help you.

here's hoping you take this as advice and adjust your 'tude a bit, not as a personal attack.

I'm kind of new to the game, obviously. Obviously.

And new to forum etiquette, obviously.

New Guy, we'd love to have you join us, learn from us, and you'll not find a more helpful and knowledgeable group. We expect new folks to post up some information, and join the group. Demanding information is not how it is done, on any forum.

I'm locking this thread now. If you want some help with your project, why don't you start over? Introduce yourself. We're big on names here, the ones your mother or friends have given you. A first name is all we ask. Introduce your project. Let us know what else you've worked on in the past. Spend some time searching and reading (because many of your questions have been asked and answered). You'll likely find what you're looking for.
