Bob's Caddy got a picture and a blurb in This months hot rod Bonneville article... Bob set the C gas record at 247.070 after having some parachute troubles...

ROFLMAO! Parachute troubles is putting it mildly! Somehow I expected the pictures after the parachute troubles to be the feature shots!

Anyone have any pics?

Parachute trouble? And dinosaurs had some mild difficulty with a meteor once. :)

Glad ole' Bob was walking and talking at Barrett-Jackson.

this Hot Rod article is about the SCTA August meet.
You are refering to a month later when Bob went back to get the C fuel record...on that first run he qualified for the record at 257 but as you know the chute pulled the car sideways and the rest as they say is history no pictures of that.........Sorry

Notice how the car has two parachutes on it... one on each side...

If only one 'chute worked it would not be pretty... :drive2:

I guess that's why the Funny Car drag cars have two chutes SIDE-BY-SIDE... I have seen many drag cars where one chute fails and it doesn't drag the car sideways when only one works...
