Hey Everyone,

I am not sure if this is the right area to post this, but figured I would start here.

A lot of big changes are coming for both my family and Norris Motorsports. My wonderful wife was looking to get back into the Department of Defense employment again after 10 years and has landed a great opportunity. For me this means a lot less stress of being the only income for my family and be able to enjoy a lot more personal things in the near future.

Now the downside for my local Central Florida customers. The new job is in the Indianapolis area which is where we were before moving down here to Florida. Now my wife is actually leaving here first thing Monday AM for Indy and I will still be here with my 10 year old son. I will not be leaving until mid December when he gets into Christmas break. We figure this is the best transition time for him as far as school goes.

What does this mean for Norris Motorsports here in Central Florida? Well, things have been quite busy here and I actually have enough work at the shop and scheduled to pretty much get me right up to when I leave. I can still get a few smaller jobs in as well as some tuning as needed. The condensed version of my schedule is as follows.

My daily schedule with having to drop off and pick up my son from school will be about 8:30 AM to 4PM. Of course I will still have my cell phone at all times.

I will be out of town to Las Vegas for the SEMA Show from Weds, Nov 4th to Sunday Nov 8th. I will be out of town to Indy Saturday, Nov 21st to Saturday, Nov 28th.

My last work day is tentatively planned to be Dec 11th or 12th and that should give me a week to pack up the shop to leave for Indy the weekend of Dec 18th.

A lot of folks always want to try to get in for Saturday appointments and there is very little of that time left available. I have a couple tunes scheduled for this coming Saturday on Halloween. I will be in Las Vegas for the Optima Battery Ultimate Street Car Challenge after SEMA. I have a dyno day at the shop Nov 14th being run by Covert Motorsports. I will be in Indy for the next two Saturdays, Nov 21st and Nov 28th. That, at this point leaves Dec 5th and Dec 12th.

As far as what folks can do in the meantime or after I close, most know I have worked with quite a few other local shops over the years and I have set up a support system that folks can call me and I can recommend the right place for you to go for your needs.

At this time I am tentatively set up to be traveling back to Florida about once a month for a week at a time to help out the other Florida shops I tune and do specific jobs for. This includes Prodigy Customs, II Much Fabrication, Extreme Performance and Miranda Built as the main point of contact shops. We will be setting up different dyno rentals for the different areas I travel to.

With all that said, the last 10+ years with owning Norris Motorsports has had its ups and downs for sure. It has been an honor and a pleasure to work with and for so many great people that I am so lucky to call customers, allies and friends. It is not easy to leave, but I must do what is right for my family. But I do promise to do my best to not leave folks hanging and with me coming back from time to time it may feel like I never left.

I am sure there will be more to say as time goes on, but for now, thanks to everyone https://static1.pt-content.com/images/pt/2009/10/cheers2-1.gif

Yeah, I'm gonna miss the foul-mouthed Irishman. When I moved to Central Florida, I met Frank, then Mike, and we've been working together ever since.

It ain't gonna be the same without you, buddy.

We aren't that far North, but we do have some fairly crappy winters.

With all of the nice weather in Cali - how do you justify tearing a car down? ;)

It makes it mentally easier to have an inoperable car when there is snow on the ground!!!!!!

Yea, here it's good driving weather all year long... Snow would certainly ease the pain of taking the car off the road, which is something I need to do this "winter"

Brandon, as far as I'm concerned, Indiana is next door to the North Pole. :)

It's all perspective, I guess.

I hear ya! We do have a town called Santa Claus?????

I could certainly get used to a nicer climate, but it's home!

I will definitely have to keep tabs on Mike. One of these days I would like to do some fun stuff with an LS engine - money permitting. I'm also picking up a '99 Vette soon. I may end up tinkering with it a bit - - we'll see. I'm sure Mike could help with some suggestions that would stay within my budget - low as it may be!

Good news for us mid-west guys.

Look forward to seeing you up there Mark.

Hey Tony, as far as the weather, I have lived there before so I know what I am in for. Gotta be better then 1 mile plus below sea level :)

Hi Nick, yeah just a bit closer for sure and I look forward to seeing you again for sure :wrc:

Definitely closer to you Finch and I look forward to working with you if need be.

C'mon Jim, I get quite a few folks driving 6 hours or so to come see me for tuning now, so no excuses.

No comment Bonzo

Thanks dropit69.

We definitely need to get together before I go Patrick. Keep off that limiter please, the videos scare me.

Thanks Bret, look forward to seeing you soon.

FU Parsons :bananna2: and you Noth Pole comment :machine:

Hey Bill, I still pan on coming for sure. Thanks to you also David. No need for a place to crash as the Us Goverment is moving us up so nice and easy.

This is one crazy person you may want to think about before inviting him to move that way

wiedemab, that is my thought process for sure as far as the weather goes. Of course my boy wants to go to Santa Claus, but more because there is a park and roller coasters there. We can definitely talk when i get up that way.

Look forward to it trapin for sure, just let me know.

Hey Rick, it was a pleasure working for you and I am sure we will talk soon.

Mike good luck on the transition back to Indiana. My vote is that you look in the Noblesville/Carmel Hamilton Co. area.

I also would say take a look at the Center Grove area or New Palestine Area (Hancock county). Also, looking forward to having a good tuner in the Indy area. Hopefully I can get my stuff together and come see ya.

Thanks Samckitt and 67bird :)

My wife will be working at The Fort (Fort Benjamin Harrison) and we have lived in Fishers before. Since we know the area of NE Indy very well and love the Hamilton SE schools, that is where we will settle in. I am sure the shop will be in the SE Hamilton County or NE Indy area.

If she was not at The Fort, I would be inclined to be in the Brownsburg area.

Brownsburg area would be cool, lots of racing stuff over there with all the drag race teams shops. John Force has a huge setup over there.

Just east of 37 up towards Noblesville there is alot of business areas going in & lots of vacant buildings. I doubt you will have any trouble finding a location.
