I'm doing some customizing for my friends 69 SS
- I turned it to an SS/RS
- made custom fuel rail covers for the LS1/4l60e
- removed and painted his intake
- relocated his battery
- built a custom cold air kit
- underhood eng, light
- steering wheel
- courtesy lights
- custom radiator fill plate
- regrounded the complete car (overkill)

when he got the car it had the short S&P air filter on the TB sucking in all that hot air from the radiator and it said LS6 !!! What do you guys think? Thanks in advance. Nick Sorry about the size of the pix.

nice 69. I like the stock look and the LS1 motor. I bet it surprises people to see the LS1 under the hood.

nice car :kewlpics:

Nice job. What did you use for the intake tubing?

Nice job. What did you use for the intake tubing?

I just used some4" plumbing pipe ( ABS) from OSH. I ground off the casting marks cut the bulky flanges off then glassing the the joint - polyester resin sticks really well to abs. This is a very econmical way to do cold routing and still look pretty good...of course I spent a lot of time sanding it 'till it was body straight- then painted it satin black to match intake . Next phase will be a smooth firewall ( also satin black) and the inner fenders treated the same way. He's not too much into A/C sot hat's going away....which will also clean up the engine bay a lot. I think I'll put in a late model C5/6 coolant overflow as well. Thanks for the kind words.
