Big brakes and 15" wheels

I've been thinking of upgrading my brakes to something better than the brakes I'm using now.
How big a brake disc can I use with 15x8 wheels, with a 3.75 BS?
If it helps any, the model is Daytona (US Wheels).

~12" brakes, but the design of the wheel & the brakes used matter.

For instance I have 12" rotors in the front of my 77Z, with stock calipers. They fit under the stock 15" Z28 wheels. But someone else tried the same deal but with some aftermarket calipers and it did not fit those wheels. But aftermarket wheels did fit.

im running wilwood 11.75" with 15" centerline autodrags.

I have 12" C4 inside 15" ralley wheels using a 1/4" spacer.
