I got a big laugh yesterday when I was loading paper in my home printer and found a iron-on (stashed in with some typing paper) from the early eighties from that comic book.
Anyone else get those as a kid?

Yes I loved them! Trosley was a huge influence.. he had me staying up all night trying to draw different cars like him. I always loved their 'how-to's and I liked how the comic was just as much about their art as it was about cars.

I still have a ton of 'em. Had a great experience when I was producing Hot Rod TV to do a feature on CARtoons, and got to interview Pete Millar, George Trosley, and Steve Austin. It was wild to meet the people who created all the stuff I grew up reading. Have to dig those out again... CARtoons, Hot Rod Cartoons, DRAGtoons, SurfToons... lots of memories!

I still have mine and a few iron ons too. I wish it was still around. I do enjoy the K&B spread in Car Craft. I believe Trosley does work for another magazine too....
Surftoons - never heard of that one but it sounds neat.

I remember Pappy and his 57 Ford on the cover. Who was that old farmer who supercharged all his farm equipment?

I remember CARtoons, used to buy them all the time.
Rupert Hogg was the farmer with the High performance equipment IIRC.
