I have the chance to get some 2007 Corvette rims for free. I have 15" Weld prostars for the car right now. I would like to go with a bigger rim but the funds are pretty low. Will they fit with hub spacers? And if they will fit does anybody have them on a 1st gen Firebird or Camaro? There are no mods to any of the wheel wells.

I do not know if they will fit, buuuuut, if you can get them for free get them. If nothing else you could see them and use the $$ to pick up some rims that would fit.

I did a search and found a lot of different specs. I like the rims that I have but finding real good tires in 15" is getting harder. The rims are from my inlaws so if I don't use them I cannot sell them to gain money from them.

The wheel specs are as follows:
Front - 18 x 8.5 w/56mm offset
Rear - 19 x 10 w/ 79mm offset
You would need wheel adapters front and rear as well as some mild to moderate massaging of the rear wheel tubs and fender lips to make it work. Ten's in the back are basically 1/2" too wide to fit easily, so any issues with the rear end not being centered or anything else tend to be deal breakers. Up front, 8.5's will rub on the fender liner bolt heads, frame, steering box, etc with the factory sub-frame, but you can address those issues easier than the rear so long as you don't mind losing a little turning radius or frenching the frame. Alignment setting will impact the front fitment as well. A lot will depend on how low your car sits and what size rubber you strap around those wheels.
It's been done, but a mini-tub sure makes it easier. Something else to keep in mind is that 19" rubber is not particularly cheap, so the money you save on wheels you very well might be spending on adapters and more expensive rubber. Considering the rubber wears out rather quickly, you money might be better spent on wheels IMHO...coming from a guy with C6 5-spokes on his project Nova.

Thanks for taking the time to type that all up. I do appreciate it. I would prefer to not massage or cut up the wheel wells just yet. I think I'll pass on the rims. Thanks again.
