spilled my coke on that one.
Ditto--That makes it look even more like a f*cking inflatable balloon car.

Pretty cool. I'd like to see it as a Petty 43 with 19" steel wheels. :)

But it looks more like this car fromt he side:

I just hope they don't paint it like these:

I'm going to reserve judgement until I see it in paint. I'm pretty into the winged warriors, although I will say it has WAY too big a smile on it...

I agree. I would like more of a full side shot. The wing looks right but the nose is to bulbous. My problem is Challengers aren't Superbirds. Now take a charger and make a Daytona and then it might be ok.

Take the stupid stick on vents off the door and then we'll talk.

If the original superbird was a Cuda/Challenger I'd be a little more into it.
Props to the builder for carrying out a vision, just not my cup of tea.

I like the front end for an LSR - Reminds me of blowfish.
Is this what Naahscar is bringing to the table for Daytona 2010? The Mustang Talledega and the Camaro XXXXX (I guess that Chevy never had to build a super speedway car did they!)
SEMA will be interesting this year.

I'm waiting on paint, wheel/tire, and stance to decide if I like it or not. If it's done right, it might be pretty cool. If it has wacky graphics and sits too high (like most Challengers I've seen), I'll hate it.
Gutsy move to build it though. I respect the balls it took to try it.

I never did like them, I will say that it needs about four more foot of nose cone to look like the old ones.
As far as the SB never being a Challenger, I was thinking of that the other day in regards to the Super Bee. There was only one year (prior to the LX) that the Charger wore the Bee outfit. 1971, and even then it was an entry leval car priced below the RT. Funny how people spend so much more for the Super Bee now just because it has some retro feel to it. I started doing a photoshop of what I think Dodge should do for the 2001 Super Bee. The front end def needs to resemble the old chargers better, and they need to work on "fastbacking" the rear a little more.

Take the stupid stick on vents off the door and then we'll talk. While they appear to be welded on, all the vents look like JC Whitney stick-ons once they're "blended" in.

I guess it's OK but like others said I'd like to see it painted and with a good wheel/stance combo. But the vents are still hideous.

Is it worth me going any further on this? If so what kind of wheels would you guys like to see?

Try something like a soft 8. You're emulating a 1970 Grand National car (remember when that was the premier series?), might as well keep the look consistent

I haven't seen one of those in years. It might not be a favorite of mine but it will be nice to see once finished. Hey anything done up right gets my praise.

An aside I just wanted to share... while driving from Seattle to Sarasota, and we passed through Idaho (or was it Montana already?) we came up on a '69-'70 Superbird, faded original paint, faded pealing stickers, tow hitch, and authentic grey haired, bearded old guy driving it. He got off an exit after we came upon him and then pulled onto a dirt road next to the highway (90) kicking up a huge dust cloud. It was kinda like being in Vanishing Point or Dirty Mary Crazy Larry for a minute, except I was watching it from the insulated seat of our antiseptic Honda Oddysey.

Not liking the superbird headlight jobbie, or the wheels, otherwise an okay piece. I'm curious though as to whether that nose is properly functional as the originals were and windtunnel tested, or just scrawled out by an artist and then copied by the guys who assembled the car.

It's OK to me, I kinda like it. Those JC Whitney vents really kill it though.

Will the trend for re-donk-culous wheels ever go away? :(

the whole retro neo-musclecar thing has jumped the shark.

Actually it kinda looks like it got jumped and mated with a shark, if you wanted you could paint it like one and it would fit the nose aLmost perfect.
