Hidden coil spring spacer Help?

I just bought the hidden spring adjusters and tru coil springs from speedway. How easy are these to adjust once installed? I read a post that someone had machined notches in the adjuster to help with adjustment, but now I can't find it. Will i have to bust the ball joint loose to adjust it to get my ride height? I already spiral cut the top to fit the pocket and welded a stud to keep it in place. This is going in a 67 camaro. Thanks for any advice you can give.

Thanks for the link, that is the one i was looking for. I guess it hasn't been proven that it works yet? It seems that would still be hard to adjust with a lot of pressure on the spring. I guess i'll just put it together and see were my height is and be prepared to do it again. Is it best to bust the lower ball joint loose are the upper one (using a jack to hold pressure on the lower) loose to make adjustments.

If the car was jacked up it would relieve the majority of the spring load. Putting some grease on the threads and on the face of the adjuster and spring will also help make adjustments easier.

When adjusting the ride height I pull the two pivot bolts. Then lower the arm down enough to get my hand on the adjuster. I don't like separating ball joints unless absolutely required.

With a floor jack the lift plate has 4 nubs on it. I hook two of them onto the a-arm between the pivot ears. With a high rate spring only need to lower it a tad to relieve the tension.

At the same time an initial adjustment was done. Then the next year a final adjustment was done (after settling). Haven't touched them since. And it has been several years.

Carl, have you cut notches in your adj. ring to help w/adjustments or are you able to adjust by hand after relieveing the spring load? thanks,

I break the ball joint for adjustments, but I will be trying David's notch method during the winter refit.
