Looks like the Pro-touring cars are holding up really well tonight. Obviously the announcer has never built one of these cars when the Blue 69 Camaro rolled across the block and went for 100 plus he made the comment that these cars could be built for much less...

It would be very gutsy move, But you could of had the right combo hardcore protouring (II much proved how well they do) + First gen camaro = you never know......

My car is a lot "simpler" in terms of fabrication.. nowhere near II Much..

But the color would be amazing under those lights.. I don't have high expectations so I would be happy if it made $100k.. Maybe eventually, but for now I will keep whoring it out on the net, in print, and driving the crap out of it.. maybe it will make if famous.

Or maybe I could get John Schneider or Jay Leno to help me sell it. lol

Just don't let Schneider stand on the roof, I'd have to tackle and dummy slap him.

I think the folks at Barrett should start embracing the PT style of cars because the numbers matching cars are going into museums and personal collections and the number of those cars are shrinking. If they want the show to continue to expand then they'll need to show the true value of these cars.

The pro touring cars I thought did pretty good and hopefully it will raise the level of knowledge of what it actually takes to build PT.

Just get some guys that really know what the cars are. Not some BIG HOT WHEEL comments. Those guys are just comical with the Radio Delete thing. The comments about could you build it for less? Maybe but you would be doing most of the work yourself and not farming anything out. I just want them to be a littkle more educated about the style of the car. Quit calling it "freestyle" building.if its not dead to nuts original.

Steve M. know his stuff. I would have to agree with him here. If you look at the list of components used, it could in possibly be built for less.

The statement is kinda loaded. Could you build the car for less sure you could, but it could also cost you more. Prime example, I could have built my car myself for much less if I had a shop, the time and tools and know how. There are a lot of things I could do myself but many more I couldnt. But in my situation it cost me twice as much because the first shop butchered it and I had to build it twice. The person who bought that 67 is not going to have to rebuild it tomorrow. Could a shop that builds these cars everyday build it for less absolutely. Could someone build those numbers matching cars for less than they go for sure but they arent making those statements. I just took it as they were knocking pro-touring/resto mod cars.

I woulda loved to have gotten that little vette with the Art Morrison frame for what 85000?
