i've heard of guys having problems with their in-line pumps running to hot on long trips and actually shuting down.
i would like to see what pumps people are using and if they have ever had any problems with them.i will be using the corvette filter/regulator for the return line and have been looking at the msd or trick flow in-line pump.i would like to be able to go on long trips and not have to worry about the fuel system having problems.

I have an aeromotive A1000, It's only been on about a 100 mile trip max, but no troubles there...biggest trouble is that the pickup's not sumped or baffled, so if the tank gets low it starts to suck dry pretty quick.

I'd think that as long as you mount where there will be plenty of airflow at speed, you'll be ok--BUT I'll admit I'm still new to the fuel injected game, so I may not know well enough to say yet.

I bought a Weldon 1100A from E Bay for $275 . Haven't used it yet but its suposed to be a quiet and well performing pump. They have a smaller one 600A for the same price. These can be located higher than the fuel and they will prime with no problem.

i would like to hear from guys that have driven no stop on a full tank of gas.see if they have had any issues with their in-line.
i would like to be able to drive from sacramento-l.a. during the summer and not have problems.
i've read more on this and it seems that the fuel coming back from the return line is where the heat comes from cause problems.

thats why you run a regulator at the tank. its pointless to run the fuel all the way up the frame and past all that heat from the exhaust.

any reason youre not going with an intank pump? the fuel helps to keep them a little cooler. the 044 seems the best pump for the higher 550+ hp stuff.

maybe the power tour guys will chime in......

walbro 255, car has 4k miles on it. I've driven back and forth to the bay area (200miles) a couple of times with no problems. I do have a sump in the tank, not that it makes much difference.

I'm running an Aeromotive Tsnumai, It's super quiet has worked very well for me under long trips. But no matter which one you choose I've heard all of them fail, the worst one was in my buddies LS camaro and he was running an A1000, it seamed it was over kill for a 400mile trip. maybe if he had a fuel controller it would have been different..

Thats interesting, a friend of ours just did Power Tour on his A1000 without a problem. We did how ever loose our Walbro pump on tour. We just replaced it with another one and man is this one LOUD! I've been happier with some of the GM Bosche style pumps.

Im thinking it was from alot of stop and go traffic in 100+ heat..Wide open throttle may help. I've read a few people that have the same problem with the A1000, but like I said I've scene all of them fail, even the Walbro, thats why I'm not taking any chances and carrying a second one in the trunk...lol
