I think John's quite happy with the results and congrats to the buyer as well. They're getting a very nice car.

I just spoke with him and he's in shock.. I don't think it's sunk in yet.
And he has a bidder's card.. :)

Considering the car was listed for $99k a couple of weeks ago I bet he's really happy with the $175k gavel price!

That is absolutely awesome. Well deserved for both John and this terrific little car. Sad to see it go but happy for our friend.
Congrats again John.

JC (cheapthrillz) and I were both absolutely cheering when the gavel dropped. The car brought what it deserved, and hopefully the buyer will come on the board so we can clue him in to all the wonderful little tricks and features he just acquired!
Congrats all around--now let's hope everything goes well again tomorrow for Frank! We'll be watching and cheering again!

I watched as well and was on my feet hollering as the price climbed. I'm guessing JP is pretty happy according to Rupp's comments above!!

WOW! Congrats John! I wish I had watched. It's got to be scary watching your car go up...not knowing what will happen next.

Heck, by the time he was out of the driver's seat the car had hit 100k! I think that helped ease his worries pretty quick!

In reference to the thread talking about pro touring being dead just direct them to this thread.
I think it also goes to show you that tasteful mods and well thought out plans increase the value of the car and that is a fairly solid investment.
