Well, I spoke with Butch on the phone regarding the project, 3" into 22" magnaflows with 2.5" tails to exit right before the bumper valence (hidden kinda). I thought a street rod shop would have a mandrel bender, my bad for not asking. When I dropped it off, Butch wasn't there, so I talked to Nick and tried to refresh what I wanted done. Nick assured me that he had spoken to Butch and knew what was up without really listening to me. unfortunately I had to pick the car up and jet and just got back in town from business travel. When I picked it up, they were spray painting the system black. I can't tell what kind of mufflers are in there, but I'm pretty sure they are short case ones. The car does sound good and passed inspection. The tailpipe exits come out onder the bumper at an angle.

I am happy that the car passed inspection, but for $650 to a shop that does all the street rods in the area, I kind of wanted it perfect. I might go back next week and see if Butch is in the shop. Again, I have only been back in town for about 2 days so this is pretty far down on my list.

BTW, Pypes quoted the same price for their system installed at their facility. In a few years when this one rusts out I will go with them.

Wilmington checking in. Just started building a 70 SS Chevelle.
Time and money are what I need, but the general idea is to build a Twin turbo 496BBC and slam it on the ground with 20's
Hopefully i can finish it before the end of time.
What year is your Chevelle MJD?

I'm in Bear, I've got a 72 Nova, in the middle of switching from hotchkis springs front and rear to coilovers and building my own triangulated 4 link.

My wife's grandfather lives in Seaford. We usually visit several times a year.

I had been living in Newark until last Sept...now down in Laurel, DE but might be moving back up north. I have a 73 trans am with a 462 turbocharged with a 77mm Garrett, intercooler, methanol injection. Its the pic in my signature. I'm hoping to head to the Ocean City MD car show this saturday if I can fix the couple of things it failed for inspection. Also plan to hit a few cruise nights up north over the summer as I have friends up there.

Got the car back on the road, different configuration than i had figured but it seems to work really well.

Dirty in this pic but an idea.

you delaware guys know anything about a marina blue 67 in Selbyville. I am from Rhode Island and spoke with the builder on the phone briefly but here is a link to his ebay listing so you can know as much as I do.

Not really what I would call a pro-touring car but looks great and packs a punch under the hood.

Thanks in advance!

I dont know anything about the car and I dont live that far away, , but honestly I dont see all that much that makes it stand out. Lots of cars with a big block with aluminum heads. Doesnt mean the builder knew what he was doing, nor is there any mention of what else is in the motor.

Comments like "BIG BLOCK 468 CID WITH ALUMANMA HEADS BIG BRODIES WITH BRODIX INTAKE HOLLEY 750 MACH PULLIES HOOKER HEADERS TURBO 350 TRANS WORKED WITH HIGH PRO PARTS 3000 STALL B@M" are very generic and to me meaningless. I can buy a big block with Brodix heads for $4000. And it might come apart the first time I hammer on it. In addition, B&M converter in a 350 trans is a pretty weak combo in my opinion for anything with serious horsepower.....so it kind of makes me think the rest of the build is just as weak.

He says the hood is fiberglass and the rest of the car is metal........well, I've heard that before. Its all metal until you begin to look closely. Notice mention of the wheels and new interior takes up one fifth of anything mentioned about the car? If it were my car I could write pages of info for a prospective buyer.

Not saying it isnt a nice car. I just take everything I see advertised with whole buckets of salt until I know a LOT more.

Thanks for your post. I agree if it were my car I would take some time in my write up.

I am still curious if anyone is familiar with this car and can comment on it from experience.
