Hey guys,

I thought I'd do an intro thread here. I am new to this board but I have been on Lateral-g.net and Montecarloss.com for quite awhile. I have seen this forum mentioned on Lateral-g several times and thought I'd check it out.

My project vehicle is a 1982 Monte Carlo SS (clone). Its getting a mild pro-touring treatment for now and I will upgrade more as I go.

Some of the upgrades include:

Front Suspension/brakes/Wheels:

Tubular upper and lower a-arms
Hotchkis springs
2" drop spindles
Bilstein shocks
Frame Braces
Big sway bar
Poly bushings
12:1 steering box
Solid Jeep steering shaft
Stainless brake lines
Cross drilled/slotted rotors
SSBC dual piston calipers
17x7 Centerline wheels w/ Nitto rubber

Rear suspension/brakes/wheels:

UMI boxed lower/ tubular upper control arms
UMI 1" sway bar
OPG 2" drop springs
Bilstein shocks
GNX rear seat braces
Etc...
Brakes are just drums w/ s-10 cylinders, rear discs next summer
17x9.5 wheel w/ Nitto rubber

Motor/trans/ rear:
383 stroker 450hp/430tq + 100 shot Zex Nitrous
700r4 Trans
7.5" rear 3:42 gears and eaton locker(soon to be 9")

Obviously I know everyone just wants to see pics so I'll just get to it.

What I started with in 2004 when I was 14.

Sure have. I love 'em. I will admit that your car looks way better with them than mine.

Nice monte, I own an 85 SS and was wondering if anyone thinks they would look good with the regal fender flares? or would the lines in the rear fender make a flare look like crap?

Thanks everyone for the compliments.

Boogieman, you must be talking about the GNX fender flares. There is a guy on lateral-g.net, maybe prodigy customs? That has a monte with them on. They look good to me.

I'll go ahead and have this moved to the project updates if anyone can do it for me? I'll add more pictures soon.
