I am hoping someone here is familiar with these cars. I ran across a 1994 dodge Stealth Twin Turbo car I am thinking about picking up. I runs out nice it’s tight with plenty of power but needs some cosmetic touches like seats should be recovered and new carpet also paint is rough in a few spots. It has 160K miles it. It has new brakes, tires, spark plugs and a new rack on it. No rust at all on the car. I have been searching the web for things to look out for on this car but not finding much. I want to make it pretty again and drive it next summer with an eye toward selling it hopefully for a profit at some point. Here is the ad

Should I run a way or would it be worth picking up for 4K

I believe that particular stealth shared it's underpinnings with the Mitsubishi GT3000. You may have a little better luck looking for it.

Thanks I have looked under the GT3000 as well. Just like any thing else I am finding a lot of mixed reviews. Some say they are great other say they are not reliable prone to problems ect. They seem like a lot of car for the money but I am afraid resale maybe a problem.

they are not bad and can be good runners, but when problems occur, it can and will be costly. Most people typically abandon the car if it needs a big repair as the resale is not too high. If you find a good one, it is alot of car for the money. with few upgrades, they can be 12 sec cars.

Had a '92 for several years. Can be very quick for a heavy car, mine would do 12.9 in the 1/4, until I spun a bearing, that cost 7 grand to fix but I upgraded a bunch of stuff. Need to be lowered to really look good. Plenty of stuff to break and cost lots of money.

4 grand is pretty reasonable provided you don't try to fix anything expensive as you'll never get much return. I had 22 thousand in mine and sold it for 10

Thats what I have been thinking. I told the guy I was going to pass on it for now. I was afraid I would get it home and figure out it needed a big dollar repair and I would be buried in it.

I have one of these in my shop right now. Man are they a pain to work on and expensive. This one is here for a inop clutch. looks as though the clutch master is inop. What a PIA to change. Hope the disc is good really don't want to do that job.

have not verified it but I have always heard that the trans is
weak for such a heavy car but the real catch is it is not rebuildable.
