That's funny. $20K for a car that was going to be in The Fast and the Furious, but wasn't. A movie car that almost was.

The way the bid was structured was probably a "starting" bid of $10,000 and a "reserve" price of $20,000...
The bid won't be accepted until the reserve is reached... it looks like the guy just kept creeping up the bids until he reached the reserve...
It does look normal to me...

thats cheap for the amount of money in that car. I saw that one being built very well built car and FAST.

It looks like the fuel cell or something is leaking all over the rear axle housing.

Does look like a bunch of money in it. Lots of brand name parts and fabrication. Nothing looks hacked at first glance like you normally see on a movie car.

This is the original car that can be seen in the movie (for example in the high school parking lot).
AFTER the shoot, the engine was swapped (572 replaced by 509) and it was painted black, for use in another movie. That never happened...
I remember about 2 years ago there was one of the FF Montes (with a 350 engine) for sale on ebay. A museum here in the Chicago area bought it for $2,500 and it is now for sale there for $10,000+. Does not sell, though...
