Yeah, that motor was a test mule for the updated Shelby Cobra concept that was built awhile back. Its a one-off motor with DOHC heads. The v10 in the truck is a SOHC . Basiclly they wrote that ford took a 5.4 DOHC motor and added to cylinders to it. Lat I heard is there are NO plan to release this motor.

What a shame I think that motor would make some viper owners sweat.

I suppose with their GT supercar needing only 8 cylinders, be it a retro throwback kinda thing or working with tried and trued parts from the bin (GT engine borrowed many bits from trucks under the ford umbrella), I can't see this engine showing up in anything anytime soon....
