With the current offerings of C6 Z06 brake systems and their attendant issues (disc weight, vane direction, cost etc). Has anyone yet started to engineer a kit adapting brembo 4 piston calipers and 14 inch rotors from the new Camaro's for our classic rides? I prefer the OEM setups for parts availability and engineering. Thanks in advance

I just pulled a set off a 2010 and they don't look terribly difficult to adapt. There are two ears on the spindle similar to how a Covette is.

We baseline tested the brakes and they did pretty damn good. Nice stuff.

I'm selling them if you want to give it a try.. lol

what does a camaro rotor weigh?

ive seen the guys on the vette forums selling their entire kits for around 1000-1200. i know your looking to go a slightly different direction, but these already work. the pad issue is gone with the aftermarket supply, aftermarket rotors take care of the vane directions, and some will argue that the heft of the c6z rotor will dissipate heat better.

I just asked the same question and you can see in the links. Not going to work unless you run like 22 inch wheels.

I see the problem now. I wish old school legendary GM ability to swap parts between lines was still in effect. I still have to measure for the backspacing concerning my current wheels (ROH RT series).

If not then I will just go with good garden variety sliding caliper C5/6 setups. Thanks again.
