Anybody else narrow a rear. We just did it to my buddies 12 bolt. We put the large Ford bearing ends on it. Has anybody else done this themselves? Is the narrowing jig hard to get out after you are done? How much wiggle room is there for the axles to fit correctly? I found to have about .0015 " run out from the outer jig race to the inner race.
Any suggestions, comments ?

I've narrowed more rear ends that I can remember. Most of the time the bar is a little snug, but it comes out pretty easy. I don't completely understand what the .0015 run out is that you have. Can you explain a little more?

The bar actually had about .0015" run out, so when we put the ends on we spun the bar and it wobbled .0015", now when you pop out the end retainers where the bearings go you have to wiggle the bar slightly to get them back in. Not a ton but I don't know if we she be concerned.

It should be fine.
