How do you like scottrade? And yes the E-Trade Commercials are cool!
I was comparing brokers a couple months back E-trade, scottrade, and Charles Schwab. scottrade had the best rates IMO

I like Scottrade and have had no problems. Research tools are great and I think the website is easy to use. $7 trades aint bad either.

Do either of these companies do most of the IPOs? There is an IPO I want to get in on but it doesnt look like either of them may participate in too many of them.

I bought Visa (V) I believe last year a couple days after it IPO'ed. I used scott trade.
