If the bar-b-que comes with it, I'll give him $20.

If I'm happy with the way it cooks I'll send a guy around to pick up the car and donate it to Mythbusters. Maybe they'll find some way to crush it or blow it up!

I don't see what the big deal is. Its a circle track chassis with a mustang body on it. It may not be everyone's cup of tea but I have seen cars that are WAY worse. Cut the guy a break.

With a little bit of suspension tunning that thing could potentially go like stink.

It kinda looks like someone was building a Pony Express Car and forgot what they were doing

Honestly - I don't need it, but think it's kinda cool

I don't understand the need to post about cars folks don't like.

As for this one, it'd be kinda fun to slide into the parking lot of the watering hole on your local twisty road in that thing and see the crowd flock to it.

How could anyone ever ruin a Mustang II ? Those were turds right off the showroom floor.
It actually looks rather creative for a polished turd. If you can do work like that and then call it crap then I understand but most would be as proud as he is and with good reason, the work looks good enough for most modifieds at the racetrack and I would think that was the idea. It even has an IMSA look to it .

You guys don't know what the F you're talking about. That thing would stomp a vette on the road course with a good motor. 16" wide wheels !
YOu may think its ugly but don't laugh at the corvette killer part.

I think its bad ass.

If you think it is so bad A$$ why don't you have you bids in yet?

I like the Dekon vs. dirt late model look. I'm pretty sure I'd be banned in an afternoon if I posted links to cars I thought were dumb.

it's a stupid statement- it's a FRIGGIN RACE CAR, of COURSE it would stomp a regular corvette. but take it up against a C5R and see what happenes.

it's just an old race car w/ an ugly body; no sense in talking about how fast it it either- it doesn't have an engine!

Kinda what I thought. It may be ugly but it isn't meant to be a beauty.

That thing is an abomination. I would like to see a well done mustang II but I would be embarrassed to show up with that.

Yet suppose to be factory built yet no documentation, and no media coverage. raise the BS flag.
I don't think that the factory could build something that hideous.

The reason people bash on cars for sale like this one is because of delusional descriptions by the owner. It's all hype as opposed to sticking to real info.

It looks like it was built as a tribute to Dirt Late Models--Probably by someone who spent his entire life around Dirt Late Models. Those cars have a very interesting history in terms of aerodynamic evolution. From stock cars to big wing stock cars to wedge cars to their current mind blowing form. Pictures don't do justice to a Dirt Late Model. These cars are totally insane. Gotta see one in person. But here goes:

Compare the helmet in the following pic to the rest of the car. Dirt Late Models are HUGE. All I'm saying is that if the guy spent his life around dirt late models, that Mustang Hot Rod looks tame.

the irony being it likely gets driven more and harder than most showtouring cars

Now you can have it all. A dirt track car with suede seats. Only needs a coffee can muffler to top it off. I will say, that if this was someones dreamcar, then atleast its together and took alot of work to get there. More than I can say for mine at this point.

You can possibly turn it into a salt flat racer and attempt to break a speed record....

I agree with streetfytr68. For a street car its ugly. I give him an A for intent and effort but an F for the result. Original builder could have done a better job on the body styling rather than making it look like a brick but then again he was a stockcar builder.

I agree with Steve... If you take it from the standpoint of looking like a "modified" racer for the street then it takes a little of the sting away...

It does look like it would fit in better in the next Mad Max movie...

This one is a little more tastefully done... But I don't know if I would pay the "Buy it Now" price of $40,000... :seizure:
