Yes, That is a local guy from St Louis. This is a car that you have to see in person at the track. That car will drag the rear bumper.

Nice. There is definitely a Fox body drag car in my future. Does anyone know what transmission is in that car? Sounds like an automatic.

SVO's were built 84 to 86 and are cool little cars four wheel disc, konis, big sway bars and such . THey are worth something to a collector for sure unique to say the least

a friend of mine had one in high school. it wasn't real fast in stock form, but it handled REALLY well. I'm not sure what all was different about them, but that car was sweet.

I'm still pissed at him for trading it for a pickup truck. :machine:

During the intro in the first video they say the engine is 170 ci. That's a little more than 2.3 litres. Does anyone have a little more info on the engine? It would take a little more than a stroke 'n' poke to come up with an extra 30 cubes.

SVO mustangs (84-86) & T-bird turbo coupes had the intercooled FI turbo 4. There were earlier turbo 4 cyl mustangs that were not intercooled and were carbed. Someone coud fit the SVO or T-bird pieces to an earlier turbo engine. The carbed versions can be tweaked to run better. Had a 79 Indy pacecar edition. When I changed the turbo I got one with an adjustable link to the wastegate and could change the boost. Typically though they were under-achievers.
