My ride a 1976 Chevy Vega Cosworth...
- pretty much stock, still using it as my daily driver... restored 2 years ago when i first got my lisence, nothing fancy, jut got it running, paint and underbody,(orgionaly a colorado car so only minor rust issues) new shocks, brakes, wheel bareings, one hell of a sound system, and alot of minor stuff just to get her back on the road...
Not much going on with it at the moment, getting it ready to go into storage for a few years.. shipping out for Air Force very soon.

- once or if stationed long term I plan of finally installing a 2.0 Ecotec turbo, (solstice GXP) Posi Monza rearend, some Konig Rewind Rims, and a better amp, probally a completly new system. and driving it like that until im in a situation where I can commit to a full Pro-Touring build.

At least another 3 years until i start my build but have it all designed in my mind

planing to do a resto-mod from the ground up in my idea of a modern cosworth

-wreks turbo upgrade
-s10 spindles
-4 wheel disc w/ c5 brakes
-6pt roll bar
-new interior
-american racing rims
...... the list goes on and on

As for me not very intresting.

I'm 19 years old, in the Air Force as an Aerospace Maintence Tec and not much else going on..

Are you sure you want to get rid of the Cosworth engine?
You sure don't see them every day.
You could blow a turbo through your present fuel injection.
Or, there used to be a manifold with Webers out there that would look really cool.

Oh very sure.

should have mentioned the engine isn't the orgional from the car, and the head isnt even orgional from the engine, and the orgional 4 speed is long gone.

If car was all orgional id probaly do the rejeted dual weber carb swap, have seen some who claim to have just under 300hp, but in reality w/ replacing the internals and the weber swap ur at maby 200. would be the thing to do....

being it's all odds and ends dont think it adds any value at all. And i would like to continue using it as my primary ride, so i think something more modern is the way to go.. just thinking for the price of a rebuild, making a SC work. would need a custom or programed ECU(factory one is just garbage) and finding a trans.... making it into something like this beast http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/3/1836/1561/29588280064_large.jpg
I mite as well go with a cosworth built duratec 2.0 good for 255 with N/A and something like 325+ with a small garrett g28 or something

So for now my plans are to go with the

the 2.0 turbo that has a GM turbo upgrade avalible good for 315hp and 330tq that doesnt void warrenty, like the idea of having a light weight 4banger with plenty (or i should say a good amount of power) that will also remain very reliably..... while i almost enjoyed it for a while, im getting so sick of replacing one thing after another just to keep this outdated engine going.
