Anyone know what the best/easiest method is for removing baked on oil stains from stainless exhaust?

Had a slight oil leak from the dipstick and it schmutz my exhaust a bit.

Thanks

I'd try fine steel wool with soap and water.

If it isn't highly polished, just like a natural or brushed finish...0000 steel wool, you can clean glass windows with it also.

An acid type wheel cleaner may be effective, and it may not. Just don't spray it where you don't want it.

What about oven cleaner like easy-off or something? Seems to do the trick after my Wife cooks lasagna, LOL!

Oven cleaner will work it just might discolor the pipes. And it will eat paint. The pipes will shine up afterward tho.

Simple green works to clean every thing make sure you use the concentrate and don't dilute. Make sure engine is cool soak the exhaust in simple green. get a coarse brush and scrub lightly. then rinse off. repeat if needed.
