Hey guys just started doing power90 about 2 weeks or so ago. Lost about 20 lbs so far and arm muscles are showing definition now. Was seeing if anyone has ever heard of them or has done them. Have some questions that I cant find answers to.

I work with 2 guys that are doing this and they are ripped, mothers employee is also doing it and hes have great resaults as well.

Heres a link if you have never heard of them..

Did it for 90 days, and it definitely works. I just have no motivation at home, so I go to the gym instead.

I also have to coworkers doing P90X and you can definitely see the results. I just got the program but haven't started it yet. I'm not very motivated at home either. Maybe I'll start it next week. ;)

Just an FYI...with PX90, the diet plan is a huge part of that "getting ripped" results. You need to follow that diet very closely to get those results. Personally, I don't have the time it takes to devote to it do all of that routine like they have scheduled. That was the biggest factor for me when I looked into this program. I have young kids who are into alot of things at school and my wife and I are constantly on the go.

I did it for awhile without following the diet plan and still was worth it. I just ran into the problem of having my appendix almost burst halfway through the program and couldn't do anything physicaly demanding for about 6 weeks. Going to start back up next week, if you have the time it's great!

What kind of equipment is necessary? Can't afford a gym membership and leaving the house to work out would add a lot of time that I cannot afford either.

Wifie lost 102 lbs on that program coupled with weight watchers.
She hated the yoga moves but did all the rest.
Got to do the first program before you try P90X, though.
To difficult to just jump into unless your in some kind of shape.

The downer is doing it at home. You really have to be motivated.

I did P90X in april. I was 6' 230lbs and dropped to 218lbs. I didn't follow the diet plan but stopped eating pre-processed foods. You will need to raise your calorie intake since your burn mass amounts during the program. I found my self eating 5 meals a day (using bars / shakes ) I also used whey protein / NOS / and creatine as my recovery and during workout shakes. Finding the time was the hardest part since most of the programs are over an hour long. I used free weights since I like the additional control required to use them but the bands work well and are cheap to buy. I am going to do the program again during the fall / winter.

Edit ** if you are not in any sort of shape p90x may be too much to start with**

I always heard "round" is a shape, does that count? :)

The P90X is a real butt kicker, even for those who do traditional weight lifting and cardio. I haven't tried it, but plan to whan I do my burn off in 2 months.

I saw an infomercial for the program a while back but I held off from purchasing. I'm glad some of you have seen good results by using the routine, I might order it up for myself and give it a go now based on your feedback.

If you do power 90, you need either resistance bands or dumbbells.

With P90X you will need resistance bands or dumbbells, yoda mat, and a pull up bar. If you have open rafters in the garage i would suggest building a bar that way, rather then the one they sell that hangs on the door frames.

100% correct, I am out of shape and thats why im doing power 90 first, P90X comes with a "test" video, if you dont pass the test it isnt for you.

Being a personal trainer I had to check it out. A lot of it is just doing something consistatly and following a good eating plan. The reason why most people don't do good with diets is because they treat it as just that. You really have to change your style of eating to see results perminantly. P90x is a great fast paced workout that definatly gets you in good cardio shape with the muscle. Remember most women should be eating 4 to 5 times a day while men should be eating 5 to 7 times a day depending on muscle mass. and they don't have to be typical meals just an apple and a protien shake is good for a meal. for those without to much time just watch what you eat and take time to go on a 45 min brisk walk 3x a week and you'll be amazed at the results you can get. 80% of it is you food intake.
