Greetings all from CT! As a long time Mopar fan, I finally got my hands on a really nice 68 Satellite (RR clone). She's got a fresh 383 and is a 4-speed car.

Although the body is mostly rust free (it was a CA car), it's got lots of little dings and dents that will need to be fixed.

My plans are to take all the chrome off, paint the bumpers and come close to the DarkRunner (http://www.plumfloored.com/sema_2008.htm) project. I love that Obsidian Black Pearl paint!

Welcome nice project. Your lucky a rust free car in the N.E.

I searched in the NE for a good project car, but didn't find any as complete as this one for the price even though I had to have it shipped from CA. It was well worth it when it arrived and I started sanding off the old paint though. What a pleasant surprise to find the quarters, floor and trunk in such great shape! There are 2 spots (each in front of the rear wheels) that need fixed, but otherwise it's smoothing out the original sheetmetal.

Thanks for the welcome guys, I look forward to sharing my progress with the community here. I've been lurking for quite some time and I've always wanted to create a Mopar pro-touring ride.

Well, it's been quite a while.....I finally found a great shop that has begun the work on the Plymouth. So far I'm very happy with the work that has been done. The great guys at Artie's Auto Body in Fairfield CT have replaced all the metal in the bad spots at the rear window and in front of the rear wheels. They also successfully pulled the collision damage on the rear driver corner.

Here are some of the highlights I'm planning:

Angel-Eye headlights

2011 Ford Sterling Grey Metallic: I love the deep and rich metallic in this color

Wide flat black racing stripe on the hood and trunk

2009 Challenger Heritage Edition Seats

Here's a mockup of the intended design that I did in photoshop:
