Hey guys, just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Marc, I'm from East TN in Dandridge about 10 min. from the smokies stadium where the autocross was held this weekend for the Run through the hills event. I talked to a few people while I was at the event and am hoping to score some parts and advice from some of the vendors on here. I also talked to a couple guys from Jakes speed shop about there c6 vette conversions.

I am currently working on a 1970 Chevelle 10.5 drag car in which I will run in the heads up cheap street class in Crossville TN.

I am also getting ready to start on a 1957 chevy belair w/ my grandpa and hoping to turn it into g machine if he approves. I will post some renderings on here w/ some plan rundowns and also pics of the chevelle.

Welcome, I think those 10.5 cars are the most exciting of any drag cars.

I see you're looking for parts and advice, if you ever want a good deal on AMSOIL synthetic products follow the link in my signature to my promotions thread.

Hey man it was great meeting you and your friend Saturday. Glad you made it on here. I was the one at Jakes that suggested you to sign up here. Show your projects in the project update thread. Dont worry if you dont believe they fit in around here, everyone here appreciates all sorts of hot-rods.

Oh BTW the Vols actually didnt do to awful bad Saturday! lol We lost also but we played decent as well. To bad we dont play Tennessee this year that would probably be a good game!

yeah, I was expecting a slaughter but they faired pretty well. I went and ended up working on the chevelle a lil more instead of the 57. I will get pics up soon of both. The 57 is basically a street rod restore from the mid 80's if you can imagine that picture. Its in good shape but not in my category of modern looks and performance.
