Can you brush stainless????

I'm going for a brushed aluminum theme with brushed wheels, valve covers, interior trim etc... Can the stainless window trim be brushed? How can I do it? If anybody has already done this,can you post some pics?

Yes, it can be given the brushed look. I did it on my car with the window trim. I used a 3" 3m roloc disc (scotch brite) on an angle air grinder. I like the blue discs. They are the lightest grade (softest) and wont put any scratches on the metal, just a fine brushed pattern. Make sure to use a new pad that hasent been used on steel, you dont want to embed any steel particles. JR

yes it can, like JR was saying. check out some of the brushed kitchen appliances. u can also use a 220 grit sandpaper if you want uniform linear look.

Isint that amazing. A frickin stainless steel car body. Only Delorean would think of that. Im mean all his personal issues aside, the dude had some forward thinking ideas. They need more of those folks back in the American auto industry. DeLorean, Shelby, Iacocca and so many others. Where are these types of thinkers. Get outta the rut American auto minds. There were some cool T-birds done in stainless, to... 1958 I believe.
