Man,let me tell ya.Pontiac heads are the hardest to port ever.More twists and turns than you can ever imagine. Are big block chevys any better?I have porting my own heads for years with good results.I dont have a flow bench but i try to get each port to match each other.I think i need the next level.Any suggestions for a cheap flow bench?

Old article from PHR (I think) on how to build your own.

Flow bench discussion forum (lotsa info)

Not as much info as above or as specific but still interesting reading.

I would like to build one some day as Im in the same boat as you since I need to step up to the next level but I have a LOT of projects to finish before I can even think about building one.

i ported some pontiac heads, i didn't notice anything that hard about it, to me at least, they resembled small chevy ports

Pontiac intake ports are easy, its the exhaust ports that are hard.A lot of twists that are there.A lot of sanding rolls are wasted to do this. The exhaust valve guides are hard to narrow.

valve guides? you must mean the valve guide bosses?
