Sorry, I did post this already in wrong section.
Here we are...
I'm working on the way to upgrade my 69 camaro to a good protouring level.
My first choice would be to get a C5 or C6 Z06 drivetrain and adapt most of the component to my 69.
What front and rear clip would I need to use and what component from the vette drivetrain will I be able to use.
Did anyone allready went this way, what are the issue???
Any other better or cost effective direction to take to go LSx on a 69 camaro with upgraded suspension, brake, wheels....
Thanx

This site is full of info from people that have done this in detail.
It's pretty expensive to do what you want.

I had a look but didn't find anyone that started with a full drivetrain forma C5/C6....
I contacted the eckertsrodandcustom for their G3 chassis twice without any answer.
As I'm starting this from scratch I want to do it well.
I still think that buying a full rolling drivetrain from a C5Z06 or a C6 and use all the componenet would cost less than buying everything separatly, but I could be wrong...
That is why I' asking advice here.

my 2 cents?
If youre gonna do it you might as well get a the hole thing. I'm not to sure how the well the transmission will fit being in the back, but I guess if you have enough money anythings possible..

If your looking to take a C5/6 rolling chassis and incorporate onto the camaro body you need to keep a couple of things in mind. Track width and length are different resulting in body modifications let alone removal of floor structure to set your ride height. I have not yet seen a G3 chassis on a camaro yet. The C6 track width is also different than C5 and the drivetrain pick up points on C6 are different than C5.
Buying a rolling chassis and utilizing the key stock components is a start but IMO you would be better off purchasing a front clip.
Art Morrison and Jakes are subframes that are C5/6 derived. But you will still need to fabricate a back half for the IRS and the front frame to the back half. This is my reasoning for building tube chassis or modified Max g
Im not sure if it was this forum or Lat G, in the for sale section about two weeks ago was a guy selling a 69 project car that had a modified Morrison full frame that utilized IRS out of Illinois.
Good luck
