OK so last year right after Thanksgiving things got odd, old boss decides to be dipstick and not gonna give me work(flat rate technician and worked for company that gives no guaranteed minimum ie no work no check)so I figure its over , no work so start making calls, get wiff of job at a Ford dealer, huh, well its less money, had to wait a week, the pay rate offered the way it was was hazy at best, but SM promised more work than I could ever want(lie).
Well owner of dealership buys a box truck at auction, inside were lots of things , lots and lots of Mercury Quicksilver parts, new in boxes, a big Kia sign, Christmas tree and such madness, well they say someone clean it out.
Cleanup guys are super busy so everyone goes looking, some guys take this or that.
BUT I pick up all the packaged nuts, bolts washers, misc boat parts, belts, anodes, heck even caps, rotors and ign modules and such.
OK wind clock forward to today, had these parts in trunk for 6 months, then decide to organize and see what stuff is worth, maybe ebay it.
Well done tripping over it , take to local boat shop, heck I figure I had $1000 in parts here.
But all I wanted was some extra cash, maybe enough to get new rear tire and drive belt for bike.
After looking it all over he asks me what I want for it, I ask for $100, He says well heck here is $150.
SCORE! went and blew $54.40 on extra groceries and rest goes into bank and next week order new rear tire!
Gotta love honest people who dont take advantage of you and give you more than you ask.
