Electric fan blowing its fuse

Hey folks-
My 70 chevelle has a 427 bbc with an aluminum radiator and a zirgo 14" puller fan with shroud. The fan keeps blowing its fuse when the relay is switched on. I just finished rewiring the whole system and installed a new relay as well as 10g wire for the high amp carrying wires, and the fan still blows its fuse. Has the fan gone bad? thanks!/

Of course the fuse must be rated higher than that fan motor draws. 10 ga wire should be plenty big but is the ground side wire the same size? Do you have a way to measure the amps the fan draws? You may have to put a "bigger" fuse in there to do this.

Sorry for no update, the fan was toast and grounding out about 62a when it turned on. New one on the way.
