Just curious, I found a really nice garage kept car in NY, and may not be able to trailer it back down here.
Has anyone had their car shipped? How much did it cost? Did they take care of the car? Approx how long did it take for you to get it? Do they offer insurance?
I'm just looking into options right now, but I know of a few people who bought LS1 (late model) F-bodies and had good luck with shipping, so I thought I may be able to do that.

I guess to answer the main question, we would need to know where you live, I can not see you from my house...haha
there are several shipping companies, and all have insurance, etc. You will need to choose between open transporter and enclosed. etc.

Sorry, I could have sworn I put my location in my profile. I live in Southern Maryland.
Open or closed trailer, it doesn't matter all that much. I guess if it isn't too much of a price difference, I'd go closed.

Haha.
I was just hoping to hear stories of people not having any problems, or if anyone had problems with shipping a car. I don't think I would have a problem finding a company to do it. I just worry about people beating on my car. My last Camaro, I was so anal, I didn't let ANYONE else drive it, I even drove it into the shop to have it aligned and sat their and watched.

I have shipped cars using uship.com. You put your add of what kind hauler, where to, price you want to pay, and other options. Then you get different quotes from all types of folks. Lots of the guys a small timers, with single or dual car haulers, all insured and bonded, and usually have been able to get cars to and from me a whole lot quicker then the big names. Never had a problem with anything shipped through them from karts, tcars, pallets, and large industrial tooling.
