I need some help in chosing what car to Pro-Tour. I have 4 cars that I have owned for some time.
1. 1973 camaro 350,auto
2. 1976 firebird trans am,400,auto
3. 1971 pontiac Grand Prix,400,auto
4. 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix,455,auto
so tell me witch one will be the best .:1st:

Which one is best might not be the most interesting. That would probably only be determined by you. I would say the '72 Pontiac might be the most unique or interesting out of your collection. That is just my opinion. I bet the '73 would be the cheapest to PT. So, it all depends on what you consider best. Cost over uniqueness...

Welcome to the site.

I'd say your '73 Camaro would offer the most instant PT potential while also being the most budget friendly. Nevertheless, I'm still partial to the bird.

here is some more information on each of the cars,so i need some idea's on names or theams.
1. 1973 camaro with a bulit 350.350 auto with a b&m shifter.new flow master exhaust. The camaro needs body work, but it has all the spoilers of a Z28.(the tail and chin spoilers) i will post pictures soon
2. 1976 trans Am 400 big block.400 auto.Red ext with red inte. The body has very little rust.alot less than the camaro. The 400 engine was just rebulit.very high optioned car.I have been reading more about the year one banit Trans am to get more Idea's.
3.1972 Pontiac Grand Prix original 455eng with a 400 trans. The car has no rust and is an original black on black car. 12 bolt rear end with an ws4 .this car would look great murdred out,but will cost more money the orther two.this car is all factory SJ car stock.
4.1971 pontiac Grand Prix with original 400end with a 400 trans.most the same as the 72 only that its white with black int.the car is a factor J car.

Welcome to the site. If I were you, I'd build one of your F-body cars, but that's mostly due to personal preference as well as Pro-Touring parts availability and cost. The f-bodies will definitely be cheaper to Pro-Tour than the Grand Prix'.

Do you want to keep all 4?

Obviously if you don't want to keep all of them you could sell 1 or 2 to add on to the PT build budget if needed.

'76 T/A's are a fav of mine but ...it is so nice to see something different so I'd go with the '72 Grand Prix 455 car. I don't think it would be significantly more to PT it.

I'm a big F-body fan but I really think you'd get more interest in your GP build and it would stand out alot more on these sites than another F-body....if that matters. lol

What mods do you have in mind in general?

Have you driven a nice PT'd 2nd gen F-body?

Or a G-body in great shape?

Might help you decide.

I'd go with the Camaro, simply because all the Pontiacs, which have become extinct, sound too nice (valuable)to do anything but restore. I also think it has the most potential. Have fun.
