well, for starters, do you want to sell the car? If not, that's pretty much the end of the discussion, isn't it?

We can't tell you whether you want to keep your car or not. Gotta make that call on your own, man.

name a high price and tell him that's ur best number non negotiable. If he really wants the car, he'll pay the price.

almost sounds like they're looking at you for a discounted price cause they know your position on the car.

Keep it and get back at it when funds are better or lower your original goals so it can be on the road again.

Keep the car.

I'd spend the last $500 into undercoating and jambing the car, primer the repaired area toss some stabil in the tank.
Keep it parked if you are tight on cashflow.
- OR -
Rack up a few $$$ on your credit card and get a decent paint job and throw the interior back in, even if you leave out the carpet.
Toss in some rubber floormats and you're rolling...
Minimal interior, just get the front/rear glass done.

Throw in a garage sale, or trade services for $$ here and there, you may scrape enough to offset some of the expenses.

You are to far along with a lot of $$ into it. Keep it. And if you do sell make sure you have something to pick up right away. Odds are if you dont you will end up spending the $$$.

Put aside whether you should sell the car as none of us can answer that loaded question. The red flag for me is selling to your boss--as dogs never sh** in there own bed I would absolutely never sell a car to the person I work for--a dissatisfied customer takes on a whole new meaning under these circumstances.
