Man, I'm glad to see a little light at the end of the tunnel. Between work, my girl's parents house, the garage, and building a shed this weekend the last month or so have been so busy.

I started with two bare walls, dirty concrete, and a bunch of mess. I moved in with my girlfriend so the garage was pretty much a catch all. :(

The lofts the PO of the house hung to the right were way to big and a bitch to take down. Dimensions of garage are 25x16.

10 sheets of pegboard, 3 epoxy floor kits, some lumber, and a whole lot of cleaning I'm this far. :)

The floor laid out really well. I decide to use the speckles since the concrete had some flaws.

I still need to paint the wall on the left and finish around the door. I plan to print some pictures I've taken over the years for that wall. :)

The stuff on the floor to the right still needs a home. I also plan to relocate the shelf to make room for 4 foot bench will will hold my vise and drill press.

Lowes had counter tops on sale last week so I decided to pick up a 6 footer for my bench. In total I have less than $75 into it with paint.

I haven't mounted my grinder yet but you can see my spiffy new air compressor. :)

Now it's almost time to take the body off the pan of my car for resoration. :)

excellent work man! I just did my dad's for him so I know what kind of effort that takes. Take good care of the floor--mine's already got a nasty spot just 3-4 months after I finished it because, I think, some brake fluid got to it and ate it up.

Thanks guys. I am quite happy with how it turned out.

Note to self. As well as other paints do not leave brake fluid on epoxy. :)

You going to butcher your vw or going to leave it VW?

Got 73 Sun Beetle I butchered, BUT it is all VW. 2054cc (74x94) CB Street Emliminator heads, t3/4b v trim. I was going carb side draft but changed my mind. I am going mega squirt EFI and EDIS. I hope to back to work on it real soon.

If you are instrested in going turbo with VW stuff, I got turbo ref. DOCE side draft Webber 40, and a rayjay turbo lying around ready to run if you are intrested.

NICE SHOP!!!!! and clean bug. Good Luck on build.

Sounds like a cool project.

As for mine it will stay all vw. It has a healthy 2118 in it right now, decent heads, Fk8 cam, dual 44's, and a bus trans. I'll freshen them up during the resto.

Plans include going to panama beige with a red interior, and new wheels. I'm actually going to understate the look a little but. Kind of like the OG cal look of the late 60's early 70's.

It's a clean bug just how it is. I wish I could make myself like the wide 5 lug pattern, but I cant. That is the only thing I found that I dislike about your ride. I WISH MINE COULD BE AS CLEAN. :(

I went with Weld Prostars on Ford small 5 lug pattern for the time being. I hope to be doing it with Porsche brakes and I thinking some 17/18 wheels once I get it to the driving stage. I did a pan off about 6 years ago on it. It has been sitting ever since. I am sure I will be getting to do another pan off when I get to build on it again.

Let me know if you want to boost that 2118.

Although wheel choices are limited I like the traditional sense of the wide 5. The car was built about 15 years ago, single stage, and the interior was changed. It is pretty clean but needs to be redone. Everything needs to be painted including the pan. Underneath is pretty dirty and the body paint is showing signs of cracking as well as having a few small dings.
