try a "fin comb" available at the local hardware store. Its what I use on a/c condensers.
or just a dental pic set.

I usually use a standard pick to straighten fins. It's just time consuming.

Its not the time element........ Its whats in his hands that is the scarry part.
The 'comb rocks. But it is very time consuming as stated. I have also just used a small screw driver and a pair of electronic needle nose pliers..... but that is even more consuming. Who much time do you have??

Using a stainless steel meshing in front of the radiator will help reduce the number of damaged fins.
I sucks trying to straighten them out after picking out the bugs.

We use a really thin ice pick and a pair of fin pliers. It is VERY time consuming but it's the only way.
