As soon as any new car is driven off the lot it loses value.
Losing 5 grand after putting less than a thousand miles on it is just par for the course.
Seriously, would you pay close to the full new car price for a used car? Especially so for a 426 HP stick-shift performance car that could easily have seen a lot of hard full-throttle runs during that 900 miles?
None of these cars will hold their value all that well. The ones with low-miles and good option packages will do better of course.
Your '69 Camaro when it was new would have dropped in value the same way back in the day, losing a good 10 to 20 percent right after leaving the lot is nothing new.

They will never appreciate, if that's what you're getting at.
They will probably do the same thing the 4th gens did. Continually lose value.

i guess what i was trying to get at is the dealers by me are marking them above sticker acting like they are so hard to get and such and you could save 5k for one here ..and id buy it for 5k cheaper thats alot of free upgrades..can't be that tore up after 900 miles plus its still under warranty

The price will probably drop fast if he just lost his job and feels he needs to save his credit and it doesn't sell quickly.

He might even get that 37k if he runs his posts through a spell checker :)
