Hello all

First post on this site...

Next year im going to be racing a 67 camaro in a UK series. Ive always been big into muscle cars, be it camaros, corvettes, challengers etc etc. I have a load of pics to put up over time of cars we have owned in the past.

The Camaro i'm going to be racing comes with a nice story. When i was 5 (now 22) my dad and his team converted the car from road, to race. Some years later the car was sold, and to cut a long story short it is now back in our hands!

It was involved in an accident so needs some time, money and loving spent on it but thats half the fun in my opinion.

Here are some pics of what we have acheived so far!

Tom.

Cool car! Nice shop, I thought all you Brits built your cars in tiny one car garages next to your garden! Looks not to be the case here!

Been a while since I've updated, so here goes!

The firewall, front clip, interior and boot are now grinded down and ready for paint. The car is being "dolly'd" off to the painters in 2 weeks. The sections mentioned above are going to be painted grey to make it look clean and neat.

Engine and box have both been rebuilt, and looking good!

Oh, and we have a ford rampbed travelling the atlantic as we speak to toe the car to races! Prepared by Holman Moody as well which is uber cool!

Neat car....and neat location for the front sway bar....does it work well on top of the front frame rails?

Thanks. Next year will be my first time in the car so I couldn't honestly say - however people with alot of racing experience have pointed out its a good spot to have it. :)

I guess that it really doesn't matter, it has a job to do and if it helps control the body roll, then it's doing it's job. I was thinking that it might be trying to pry the caps off of those pillar bearings vs prying up under the frame rail....but I guess it does that underneath the frame as well, because one side is pulling up while the other is pushing down regardless of where it is located.

Wasn't being critical, I just hadn't thought much about the placement on top like that, therefore the question...always trying to learn more about all of this stuff. Never know when somebody has found a better mousetrap, if you don't ask...LOL
