OK, I've seen some "restorations" in my time but check this out:

Words like he's using do not come to my mind! Solid? Excellent? Perfect? :help!: :screwy: And some poor sucker is going to buy that on eBay - if it hasn't crumpled like a coke can when he hits the gas the first time.

"shame is, you'll never see half of it..."
So I am just learning and all, but WOW that sucks!!! Bob has got to go! I would be deathly afraid of driving that thing. It's funny reading the comments though.

I bet his labor rate pretty fair.
Yeah, but his material costs are astronomical!
What he saves by not buying the correct replacement pieces he spends on welding wire & grinding disks.

No ****, another fool who steps over a quarter to pick up a nickel. It's not like the floor pans, etc. are that expensive.

So my welding skills are not awesome--I get the job done, and they are solid so I am happy.
I saw this video when there were only a few updates a while back and thought to myself...
"If this is what a professional brags about, then DAYUM...I am a welding GOD!"

"I cleaned the weld all the way up to here and it turned out excellent!"
This quote from the speaker is within the first minute of the video.
Everyone NOW has a specific reference of what "excellent" work really looks like!!!
I now question what level of quality work is left for me to achieve since my work does not come anywhere close to qualifying as "Excellent"?
Kinda reminds me of the work from that goofy bunch of hacks that debuted in the new TV show a couple of weeks ago where they "restored" an early 50's pickup with one of the hacks getting injured on a riding lawn mower!

I've seen this guy over on camaros.net quite a bit. If I recall correctly, he's a really young guy working on the car for another individual who's not willing to spend hardly anything on it.
A number of us really tried to explaining to him he wasn't doing the car any good, but was dead set on continuing.
I guess I have to give him credit for drive, but I agree that it'll likely turn into a hidden problem for someone else.

"pretty solid... at least it doesn't look like some frankenstein patch."
Now that's funny
The sad part is that he thinks he's doing such a good job that he's showing others how to do it on youtube.

Sometimes if the customer doesnt want to spend any $$, you just have to walk away....have some limits on what you'll "cut corners" on for god sake...
And to be proud of it enough to show the world....damn.
Bob should be taken out and shot.....

Dammit Steve!! Why do you have to be so mean!! I got to see the 1st one this morning at work, but I didnt get to see the sequel!! That guy really needed to get away from the flux core welder, get some practice in, and get more than an industrial sized grinder! lol

I left a comment too. I told him that if the guy didn't want to put money into it then dont do the work.
