They are some sexy cars.
Why did all the spectators just stand in the way? They couldn't hear the car?

I have seen them round a road course a few times. When set up well they can be very hard to beat.

Awesome cars... maybe next... although I am looking out my window at a red GT40 on the street below and that has some serious sex appeal even from 25 stories up.

In my experience that is what most spectators do... they stand there seemingly oblivious to the cars that they are watching so intently.

The sweet sound of a 351C. :woot:

The second video sounded like it needed to warm up some.

I'd love to have one myself.

The second video sounded like a roots blower cycling to me. Whhhaaap, whaaap, whaaaap!

They must be using 180* headers. They just don't sound like the V8s I'm used to hearing.
...... and yes, they are sex with wheels. They looked good in the early '70s and look even better now. The women I know .... well, different story.

Some day, I'm going to build a Lola T-70 Mk3 coupe for the street.

Been drooling over these for a while, one of the best looking cars ever made.

Yeah a Pantera for track days would be cool. They won't fit a 6'3 driver though, have to lower the floor, move pedals and still sit like crap. Oh well, money saved for another Mustang. :)

A picture of a Pantera from the rear caused me to go with flares and 12" rims - 335's on my Corvette project.... nothing more wicked looking than those monster meats..

They had a concept car of a new Pantera a few years back that would have been awesome:

David,
The Lola is pretty hot as were most cars from that period in racing but I prefer the GT40.

bhays,
Always loved the rear of the flared panteras. Not really liking that front quarter view of the prototype though the side profile and rear look pretty good.

Damn V, you know that is still a sensative subject with me. I had to make a tough choice and put the $ in the Challenger. I wish I could have kept it for myself - that thing could have been the posterchild for the streetfighter movement. If I could only find that money tree..............

When I was a kid, Can-Am was the ultimate (still is in my book).
A lola with a bbc right behing your head! That's the stuff dreams are made of.
I like other cars of the era as well, but a Lola is my dream car.
They were selling a street legal Lola in the 80's with a 468 and 4 webers for only $108K. I still have the advertisement.
