Well after learning about the site from a neighbor with a VERY nice 67 BB PT Camaro I've lurked long enough and will now make my intro.

Name is David from NW corner of Ark. Currently I own a 1971 Datsun "Scarab" conversion and am in the process of building a 1972 Datsun 240Z which will be motor'vated by a full on 383 stroker with a 100 shot of NO2.

Currently shopping for a first gen Camaro, not hard shopping but if the right one comes along you never know. The Scarab is going up for sale shortly after I get some of the little things like weather stripping taken care of.

Here is a link to the building rotiserie resto-mod of the 1972 car

Here are some pics for your enjoyment.

Welcome to the site, David. Very cool projects you have / had. I've always wanted to build a LSX powered Datsun.

Love the wheels on your Z.

I had an FFR before the Camaro. KenneBell supercharged 302...that thing really moved. I miss mine too.

Nice Z's. When I think of Z's, I think of this one.

Probably the sickest Z I have seen and on the list of top 10 sickest cars I have seen. I would love to have one done in this fashion, pure excess. Keep us posted with the build, I have a buddy with one that he takes to the track and he is always looking for ideas.

Love the 240's! My Dad is getting ready to start restoring his '71, he and my Mom bought it brand new but it's been in storage since the mid-80's. Trying to talk him into a V8 but he's not going for it!

Welcome. Little Rock area here. Where in NW? Fville or Springdale or Bentonville or... Oh heck, it's all the same now isn't it?

I'll be up that way next week but I doubt I'll have time to look you up. Work stuff. Welcome. If you ever get down to central Arkansas check out Cruisin' In The Rock. We do it monthly at the River Market. We've been averaging about 200 cars most months.

OK, I'll shut up now.
