Well after lurking for some time I'm posting up my project. It's a 68 firebird convertible. Plans are the following:
DSE Quadra link, sub frame connectors, mini-tub kit, axle case (installed)
Strange axles (installed)
Detroit Tru Track
Ford racing rear Brake kit (purchased)
454CI LS2 / LSX with supercharger
T56 6 speed viperized transmission (completed)
Stage 3+ clutch (purchased)
ATS T56 kit
BRP Sub Frame Kit with Power Rack and pinion (installed)
LS1 Camaro front disc Brakes (installed)
Hydroboost
American Racing Rims Torque Thrust IIs 18x10 in rear 17x8 in front

As you may remember I had a problem with the shop doing the final body work. Current;y fight with them over missing parts.

Made a deal with my wife that if the car is not drivable or looking like a real car (whatever that means) by june 2010 I 'd get rid of it. I'm going to cut a few corners to get the car drivable by then. The blown 454 LSX, hydro boost and a few other things will have to wait until phase 2. So far I have the following to do before paint:

1. Weld inner rockers
2. Prime and Paint underside of car...might use raptor or por 15
3. Prime and paint interior of car...raptor or por 15?
4. Install steering column
5. Remove door praces
6. Install hood latch, catch, release,
7. Hood Tac, Front Spoiler, Cowel Panel, hood scoops, gussets
8. Antenna Mount, Filler panel, radiator to fender support,
9. rear spoiler, rear brakes, x-brace, 9" booster and master, ATS mount
10. Run Brake lines
11. Grind Windshield area down

Then she's off to paint.

So I ordered all of the items needed to finish the body work except the coating stuff. About one thousand in all. Some of the items were out of stock so ETA for arrival is september 17th. By then I'll know what I'm doing for the under coating and will have the car ready to go.

I like your plans! That is a tight timeframe though, good luck! :twothumbs

Thanks! I know it's tight but if I can have the car out of paint by January All I really have to worry about is the outer trim, electrical, and engine. That should get me to the "looking like a real car" phase. Then I'll just have the interior, top, front wheels and final assembly stuff.
