2nd gen tail light question

Quick question please....... On the 2nd gen camaro, rear tail lights, with parking lights on. Is it the 2 inner tail lights that should be on and then once the brake peddle in pressed, the 2 outer lights come on along with the 2 inner??? Or what? In what sequence?

What year? Early 70-73 with four round lights? Mid 74-77 with two red lights? Or late 78-81 with yellow turns and red park/brake?
