Hello everybodie this is my first post I figured I'd get it out of the way.
anyway I was wondering if anyone has ever modified a stock cowl hood to look like a stinger (L82) like yenko used.I know they make fiber glass ones but I want steel I don't know of any so let me know what y'all think

I dont know of any body that has done that, but there is no reason you could not make your on version out of metal.
I like the idea.
Keep us posted on the progress.
we are putting the glass version on the shop car.

Thanks I'm getting my repo hood in a few weeks and I've seen alot of them in glass but I'm planing on trying to do a reverse tilt with electriclifes kit and don't think a glass or carbon one whould stand up in the long run I'm just tired of all the cowls out there I want to make this functional as a cold air intake for the supercharger I've seen that once before really dug it but they used a straight cowl so I thought I'd incorperate it in and as I've always heard the camaro is the poor man corvette I thought I'd make a camaravette.

As long as they're not lightweight racing hoods, they should standup to the same abuse a steel hood should.

Really even in reverse I've always heard that if I change my hood I have to change my springs and I'm still not clear on how the kit I'm looking at will work as far as stress on the front corners having to lift the rest of the hood.I'm looking into it though thanks!
