Hi, I have a question about how best to align and articulate angled bars such as in a satchell or triangulated 4 link.
Is it best to set the axis of the bar pivots perpendicular to the bar itself or to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle?
That is; left or right in this image:

Thanks

Left side. If you can visualize the lateral forces it will help. What would happen to the right one during roll?

I see that the right example would twist under roll but it wouldn't under bounce; the left one under roll would perform better but wouldn't it have problems under bounce? The wheelbase will want to shorten and the bars will want to pinch inwards won't they?
The right side example is closer to a wishbone setup isn't it?

i've never seen a factory car with a link like on the right, and all the aftermarket 4 link conversion kits for leaf spring cars look like the one on the left.
